- Soil Survey, 2005 (pdf, 1.4 MB) An extensive survey was designed and analyzed by the late Hank Sirlin (retired soil scientist).
- Land Use Proposal, 2005 (pdf, 123 kB) is a large format drawing proposing an variety of structures and uses for the Gabriola Commons. Part of this has been approved by both the Island Trust and the Agricultural Land Commission.
